Shortly before noon on Thursday, Jan. 3, a Darien resident reported at police headquarters that her son’s bike had been stolen from the YMCA at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 30 when it was left in the bike rack at the location.
According to police, the complainant said that the bike was found missing at approximately 6 p.m. that day when her son went to retrieve it before heading home from the YMCA. Investigators noted that the bike had not been secured to the rack with a lock.
The stolen bicycle was described as a black Trek brand bike with a value of $660. The stolen bike remains under investigation - no suspects have been identified by police.
